Living Beyond The Time Of The End

Over twenty years ago,  I maintained a couple of websites to share what I was learning in my study of the scripture The first was general in nature, and the other was devoted to dealing with the subject of “the last days.” Life got busy and I didn’t make time to maintain them, so I ultimately let them go.

Now, years have passed and I’m at a place where I can make time to resume sharing, but with a different focus: a view to the distant future.

If you haven’t discovered it already, you will quickly realize I am among those who understand the biblical last were the last days of Old Covenant Israel, which took place at the end of the first century. However,  the primary purpose of this site is not to defend this interpretation of scripture. So, while you will find content and links here to introduce you to the subject, I want to begin exploring how this interpretation impacts our  approach to live.

The often repeated quip that ideas have consequences is very true. Does it really make any difference if the last days were consummated in the first century?

We’ll address this at length, but an old question posed by preacher/teach J. Vernon McGee provides insight into the answer, “Do you polish brass on a sinking ship?” The obvious answer to the rhetorical question is, “No.” However, the presupposition behind the statement is that this world is a sinking ship (a view held by way too many believers).

I pose a different question to you, “What is your vision of the world in the year 3,000?”

This is a vitally important question. Do an Internet search on future studies and realize others do have a vision for the future, and it will not favor a Christian world view. Edmund Burke well said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” It is wholly unacceptable for believers to survey the evil of our day and think God will deliver us while we sit idly by or, as is true in far too many cases, ignorantly support those who are implementing evil.

I invite you to join me as we explore the opportunity before us.
